Giorgio Zamponi was born in Macerata to a farming family and began his career in the late 1960s as an apprentice shoemaker in Casette d’Ete, in the Marche footwear district. Soon after, he opened his own workshop producing women’s shoes.

After founding Zatos with his brother and establishing a presence in the Italian market, Giorgio launched Calzature Zamponi Giorgio Srl in 1994 in Montecosaro. Under the Giorgio Zamponi brand, the company modernized its collections and expanded internationally, especially in France, gaining recognition for quality, craftsmanship, and comfort.

In the early 2000s, his sons Daniele and Alessio joined the business, leading to further growth and diversification while maintaining artisanal, handmade production.

Today, Giorgio Zamponi represents nearly thirty years of Italian craftsmanship, offering elegant, comfortable, and stylish women’s shoes that combine tradition with modern fashion trends.
